Refurbishment work being carried out at Nick Everton House is for a student accommodation project situated on one of Manchester’s main arterial routes.

This high-profile building will undergo some window repairs, as well as complete external re-decoration and refurbishment. The services here at Connolly Scaffolding are being used as part of this major refurb job.

The allocated timeframe for carrying out this building project work, including erecting the scaffolding, is just 24 weeks. The client has only 12 weeks to complete the works on each elevation, so they enlisted Connolly Scaffolding to come up with a program that would meet this deadline.

Connolly Scaffolding liaised directly with Highways Manchester for all relevant permits and is erecting each zone in just two weeks, using system scaffolding that is considerably quicker than traditional tube and fitting. Each item of scaffolding is pre-set in factory condition, and will enable us to have the project up in half the time than it would have been if using the traditional tube and fitting, which is of course a massive benefit to our client.

By splitting the building into 7 zones and by handing over each zone as it is finished, means the client can immediately start work with-in the first 2 weeks of the project start, so Connolly’s are fully aware of how speed and efficiency impacts upon the project as a whole.
