Inspirational Talk For Hebden Green School

Local school-leavers from specialist school, Hebden Green Community School in Winsford were given the opportunity to try their hand at construction thanks to major housebuilder, Keepmoat Homes.

On Monday 25th September 2017, 33 school-leavers donned their hard hats for a site visit at Keepmoat’s Winsford housing development; where they were given an insight into the diverse career options available in the industry.

During the visit, the group met with Kevin Shannon Keepmoat’s Health & Safety Advisor to learn about risk assessment, safety signs and identifying hazards before spending time with Phil Grace the development’s Site Manager to cover site plans, order of construction and the ever-popular construction machinery. The highlight of the visit for many being watching the diggers up close, in action.
